Everest Base Camp Trek: Into the Dream Zone

By Lakwatsero on
Everest Base Camp

I’ve always dreamed of climbing Everest ever since I was a kid. It was a dream that has always been a dream (to read: a far reality). And as I understand the way of things, …

SPARTAN STADION New Clark City, Tarlac After more SPARTAN STADION
New Clark City, Tarlac

After more than two years, nakabalik din sa OCR for the first ever Spartan Stadion in the Philippines!

Proud of my feat with just one set of burpees for missed spear throw and first time na nabuhat ko on my own ang Atlas Ball! 😳💪🏻

Thank you @merrell_ph for the experience!

Aroo! Aroo!

MOUNT TALAMITAM | NASUGBU, BATANGAS Glad to be ba MOUNT TALAMITAM | NASUGBU, BATANGAS

Glad to be back in Mt. Talamitam!

At 630 meters above sea level, Mt. Talamitam is one of the twin mountains of Barangay Aga in Nasugbu, Batangas. A relatively easy hike that provides unobstructed view at the summit of the neighboring mountains of Batangas, Laguna, Cavite and Quezon, and even as far as Bataan and Mindoro in the horizon.

Mt. Talamitam features forest trail, grassland plateau and steep bush trail to its flat summit.

On rainy days, the mountain is verdant and the assault to the summit can be slippery. During dry season, the mountain turns brown and dry making the trek physically exhausting.

The forest trail starts at Sitio Bayabasan which leads to a gradually ascending grassland plateau serving as base of its peak. From there, you can choose the shorter yet harder route with steep ascent
or the longer route with slightly tolerable inclination going up. Both routes takes 15 to 30 minutes to the summit.

Merrell made this comeback possible with my new Moab 3!

For over a decade, the Merrell Moab has been the choice of hikers when a choice needs to be made, making it the bestselling hiker in the world. Famous for its out-of-the-box comfort, durability and all-purpose versatility, its predecessors have enabled 25 million people to step further outdoors.

Merrell Moab 3 features a new more supportive insole, a softer more cushioned midsole, a grippier Vibram outsole, and partially recycled fabrics.

Moab 1 and 2 were with me in my treks in the various peaks of the Philippines, Nepal, Japan, Peru, Ecuador and Moab, Utah itself. Moab 3 will surely bring me to more heights and places!

Can’t wait!

Mag-glass kayak ka na din sa Boracay!

Glass kayak rate is P250 per person for 15 minutes. Medyo hyped and overpriced. If magaling kayo makibargain, makukuha nyo ng P200/person for 15 minutes. Mahal pa din, pero sige na, nandyan ka na e.

SUMMER SA BAGUIO! Tara! Let’s Baguio! The “s SUMMER SA BAGUIO!

Tara! Let’s Baguio!

The “summer heat” makes Baguio really inviting! With its manifold of attractions and cold breeze, Baguio is always a good idea!

A lot of developments are up in the summer capital - new attractions, events and places to eat. Another good thing about Baguio is, it is one of the best places in the Philippines to go solo! The city is generally safe, convenient and budget friendly. So if feel mo mag-travel on your own, go find yourself in Baguio. Visit the Igorot Stone Kingdom, Mirador Heritage and Eco Park, Night Market, Session Road, Mines View Park, Tam-Awan Village and many more!

Then, after going in and around the city, reward yourself with the mouthwatering Sinigang na Baboy ng Kuya J! Don’t worry, may single serve nito. Perfect sa malamig na gabi sa Baguio and pampainit sa malamig na puso! Haha! 😅✌🏻

May Kuya J sa SM City Baguio! 🍲
