Nestled at 3210 meters above sea level is the Poon Hill, a popular tourist spot in Ghorepani, Nepal. With its panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountain Range, Poon Hill is definitely one of the best spots in Nepal to have an unobstructed view of the eastern side of Himalayas.

Here’s a snapshot of two of the mountain peaks that can be seen from Poon Hill – Annapurna I (8091m) and Annapurna South (7219m). Other peaks that can be seen on this site include Dhaulagiri (8167m), Machhapuchhare (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal (6988m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tukuche Peak (6920m) among others.

A trek to Poon Hill requires at least three days and starts in the town of Nayapul. The journey involves long walks, river crossings and some challenging ascend specially in Ulleri area.
