Updated Baguio Travel Requirements

Dubbed as the City of Pines, Baguio serves as regional hub of Cordillera and a melting pot of people, art, cuisines, ideas and culture with the confluence of various indigenous and ethnolinguistic groups that paint a diverse socio-cultural scene. The city has become a go-to place of tourists recently specially those in mainland Luzon with its temperate weather and variety of activities and attractions. Make sure to complete these Baguio travel requirements before your visit.

Baguio Travel Requirements

The following are the new VISITA requirements:

For Leisure Travel:

  • must register and schedule a travel in http://visita.baguio.gov.ph and have a printed or electronic copy of QTP (can be approved and issued after up to a couple of hours if not staying in accommodation establishments); if with accommodation, contact the booked property/hotel for approval of QTP.
  • must be fully vaccinated (if traveler is medically ineligible to be vaccinated, a medical certificate must be shown) or with negative RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours prior to arrival; minors are exempted from vaccination and test requirements as long as accompanied by vaccinated or tested adult; pertinent document/s must be uploaded during registration and/or to be brought for verification upon arrival.

For Essential Travel:

  • must register and schedule a travel in http://visita.baguio.gov.ph and have a printed or electronic copy of QTP (can be approved and issued after up to a couple of hours if not staying in accommodation establishments); if with accommodation, contact the booked property/hotel for approval of QTP.
  • must be fully vaccinated (if traveler is medically ineligible to be vaccinated, a medical certificate must be shown) or with any negative COVID test (RT-PCR conducted within 72 hours or Antigen conducted within 24 hours prior to arrival); test may also be conducted upon arrival at the Central Triage.
  • must have proof of essential travel (travel order/invitation or proof of professional/medical appointment); pertinent document/s must be uploaded during registration and/or to be brought for verification upon arrival.

For Baguio Residents, Students, or Workers/Employees

  • not required to register but must show any Baguio ID: any valid ID with Baguio address, student/employment ID from Baguio school/employer.

Important Reminders

  • Tourists from areas under Alert Level 4 and 5 are not allowed, if from Alert Level 3, negative test results will be an additional requirement aside from full vaccination.
  • All non-residents, including essential travelers and passing through, shall now register in visita.baguio.gov.ph
  • If traveler (whether leisure or essential) is booked in an accommodation establishment, coordinate with the property/hotel for approval of travel, and issuance of QTP
  • Returning residents, students, employees, workers are not anymore required to register as long as with valid Baguio ID

    If we register in dec 6 and nkalagay po pending for approval and our date to visit is on jan 23 just 1 whole day..what did it means..?we are from bataan do we need to bring negative antigen test..

      Yes. You will have to bring a negative antigen test.
