The most popular tourist spot in Pangasinan, Hundred Islands National Park is a group of islands in Lingayen Gulf, Alaminos City. It is made up of 123 islands and islets…
The quaint town of Dasol, Pangasinan harbors a coast of cream sand and bountiful sea harvest. A spot that offers more than what you can think of, for a not so popular tourist destination – the Tambobong Beach.
Tambobong Beach, a long stretch of cream sand of barangays Tambobong and Osmeña in Dasol, is Pangasinan’s another secret.
An hour-and-a-half ride from Alaminos, Tambobong promises a more relax and quiet atmosphere than the famous Hundred Isles or Bolinao. But going there is not a walk-in-the-park since parts of the road en route to Tambobong from the town of Burgos are rough.
Fronting the South China Sea and offering a great view of sunset, it is a popular getaway for locals and a jump off point to a tiny shade-scarce island of Culebra, Balaki Island, Zambales’ Hermana Mayor and the submerged shipwreck of Balinmanok.
An ideal place to commune with nature – be it an island hopping, beach bumming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing or just plan wandering. Tambobong Beach is another reason to visit Pangasinan.
Tambobong Beach can be reached by catching a regular bus to Sta. Cruz in Victory Liner Terminal Alaminos. Buses leave every 30 minutes. It is half an hour ride for P28. There are also few jeepneys plying Tambobong – Alaminos route and vice versa, but the trips are limited.
