At exactly 8:12 AM (GMT +8) of October 15, 2013, a powerful earthquake with magnitude 7.2 struck Central Visayas with epicenter on the east of the town of Carmen in the island of Bohol. The earthquake was also felt in Cebu, Negros, Leyte, Siquijor, Guimaras, Panay, Masbate and parts of Bicol and Mindanao.

A total of 222 people were reported dead, 8 were missing, and 976 people were injured, while a lot of structures are reportedly collapsed and severely damaged including centuries-old heritage churches of Bohol.

Here are the photos of the heritage churches of Baclayon, Dauis, Loay, Loboc, Loon, Clarin, Inabanga and Maribojoc in their original state and their state after the powerful earthquake.

    This could be a wake up call to the Catholic Priest to stop meddling with the affairs of the state, but take care of their own churches instead.

    If they only spend the Millions on retrofitting this Churches instead of keeping it in their own pocket it will be one of the best places that the pilgrimage tour will be tourinng.
