Cheaper Fares with PAL EconoLight Class

In an effort to give a better alternative to the budget-conscious segment of the travelling market, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced the launch of PAL EconoLight Class, the new “NO-FRILLS” product of PAL with prices lower than regular Fiesta (Economy) Class, designed with lesser amenities.
The product will be available all year round and covers all PAL domestic routes and selected regional routes. Selling period will start on November 4, traveling period will start on November 10.
The routes covered are the following:
- Domestic Routes – All PAL domestic routes, excluding PAL Express’ routes (Bacolod/ Butuan/ Cagayan de Oro/ Cebu/ Cotobato/ Davao/ Dipolog/ Dumaguete/ General Santos City/ Iloilo/ Kalibo/ Laoag/ Legaspi/ Manila/ Puerto Princesa/ Roxas City/ Tacloban/ Tagbilaran/ Zamboanga)
- International Routes (Bangkok/ Beijing/ Ho Chi Minh/ Hong Kong/ Jakarta/ Macau/ Manila/ Shanghai/ Singapore/ Taipei)
Restrictions:
- Tickets purchased under this class are forfeited if unused, non-refundable, non-rebookable, non-reroutable, non-upgradable, and non-endorsable
- Available only for purchase through PAL website (www.philippineairlines.com)
- No mileage accrual
- Only water is served for domestic flights, and peanuts and unlimited non alcoholic beverages for international flights
- No headsets will be provided
- EconoLight passengers are not entitled to Airport Lounge Access, not even Mabuhay Miles Million Milers/ Premier Elite/ Elite Members
- Infant’s Fare is 50% of the Adult’s Fare for International Flights, and the same as Adult’s Fare for Domestic Flights
- Child’s Fare is the same as Adult’s Fare for both International and Domestic Flights
- Not for special handling passengers (eg. passengers on wheelchairs) for EconoLight passengers are assigned to occupy seats in the last row of the aircraft where there are no facilities for disabled
- Limited Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) at 15 kg/passenger (without further allowance)
- No advanced seat reservation
