Cheers to Three Years

THE RESULT OF CHEERS TO THREE YEARS CONTEST IS HERE.

    Hi Lakwatsero,

Kudos to you!!!anyway I’m a native of Aklan where Boracay Island can be found, aside from famous beach, we in Aklan are considered as mother of all festivals here in the Philippines, you can experience the famous Ati-atihan festival during the whole month of Jan. but the major event held during third sunday of the month. In the province you can visit different interesting places such as Jawili falls(can be found in Tangalan)it has seven basins tiered about 20 feet apart.Basang and Hurom-Hurom Cold Springs (can be found at Nabas, Manduyog hills (Banga) It is 500 feet high with life-size stations of the cross winding up the hillside and a chapel at the summit overlooking the town of Banga and other municipalities, if you happen to explore the province theres a lot of surprises/adventures awaits for you. If you’re into food tripping, Municipality of Numancia is the best place to visit for famous lechon manok and baboy and fresh seafoods available for you and they cook it in front of you. And lastly never missed to taste the aklanons authentic delicacies “Binakoe””binakol” native chicken cooked in a bamboo(similar to tinola but binakoe is more savourful) Hope someday every filipino can visits my hometown, not just the foreigners but mostly locals alike. God bless Philippines!!!!!!!

    Hello Lakwatsero,

My hometown is Nueva Ecija, one of the major rice producers in the Philippines and renown for the Tsinelas Festival. When you drop by here in Nueva Ecjia, try to visit the breathtaking Minalungao National Park. ^_^

  12. I consider UP Diliman as my hometown. Well, its not really a town but I consider it mine as I have spent a long time studying in it. Here you meet lots of people from different walks of life. The scenery is great that photographers go to the campus to take pictures of rare bird species. Enjoy having a food trip which is as diverse as fine dining in Chocolate Kiss or eating street food like fishballs and isaw.

Congratulations to a terrific third year fellow Lakwatsero! I am a Manila girl since I was a kid but then I find Tagaytay as my hometown. With its proximity, stunning view and perfect climate, one can be easily drawn to this relaxing place. While you are there, you might want to try this hole-in-the-wall fine dining called Chateau Hestia which serves excellent Austrian menu. A must try for those who are looking for a romantic getaway and for the food enthusiasts as well. This little town is such a wonderful place to just chill out, unwind and forget the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

  14. I consider QC as my hometown. Have a nature trip down to QC Circle, wildlife and lamesa eco park. And try to check out UP village for isaw food trip.
